This tansu-style wardrobe is crafted from reclaimed elm wood and finished in a warm teak tone, highlighting the natural grain and character of the material. The design draws from traditional Japanese storage forms while adapting to modern functionality.

The piece is constructed in two sections. The upper cabinet functions as a wardrobe, fitted with a hanging bar for clothing, similar to a classic armoire. The lower section provides practical storage with two drawers on soft-closing glides for smooth, quiet use.

On the lower right, a hinged compartment door references Meiji-period kimono tansu design, adding a subtle historical detail while offering additional enclosed storage. Blackened hardware and clean joinery reinforce the balance between traditional inspiration and contemporary usability.
