Chinese Style Elm Console Chest Custom-Order Reference

Chinese Style Console Chest

This custom-order reference example shows a Chinese style console chest with a slim profile, elm wood construction, and a teak finish. The pictured piece is kept as an inspiration example and is not available for purchase.

Its documented 36-inch width, 10-inch depth, and 32-inch height make it well suited to narrow spaces such as entryways, halls, or behind seating, where a compact surface and enclosed storage are useful without taking up much floor area.

Design Details

The design combines the function of a console table with the storage of a small chest. In the photograph, the case is raised on four straight legs and fitted with multiple small drawers and central cabinet doors, giving it the balanced, symmetrical look often associated with Chinese style furniture. Dark metal pulls and a round central hardware plate add contrast against the warm wood finish.

The long top provides space for display, while the drawer-and-door arrangement supports organized storage in a narrow footprint. Paneled sides and a clean rectangular silhouette reinforce the piece's tailored console form.
