A finely crafted Shigaraki-yaki sencha set distinguished by its natural ash glaze and warm, earthy firings characteristic of traditional Shigaraki kilns. The set includes a side-handle teapot, a yuzamashi (cooling bowl), and five sencha cups, each with unique variations created through wood-firing and natural ash deposits.

The surfaces display a beautiful interplay of olive-gray ash, reddish-brown clay, and kiln-burst textures, giving each piece a wabi-sabi presence. Subtle hand-applied motifs and small lug details enhance the rustic aesthetic. The teapot features an internal strainer and a sculpted lid finial.

Housed in the original signed wooden tomobako, inscribed by the maker 楽島 (Raku-jima).

A highly collectible set for sencha enthusiasts who appreciate the organic beauty and traditional character of Shigaraki ware.

A harmonious, functional, and collectible Tokoname-yaki tea set—perfect for daily sencha brewing or as a valued addition to a Japanese ceramics collection.
