This small Japanese hikidashi chest features a straightforward, useful form designed for organizing everyday small items. The front is arranged with two small upper compartments set side by side, followed by three wider graduated lower compartments, each fitted with a brass-toned ring pull and floral-form backplate. The case has a simple rectangular body with a flat top and plain sides, giving it a clean, functional silhouette that works easily on a desk, shelf, or cabinet surface.

The exterior shows a deep brown finish with visible wood grain across the front and sides, while the interiors are left in a lighter natural wood tone.
