This domestic interpretation translates that quiet elegance into a hand-built ceramic table lamp, shaped as a miniature pagoda with a swept eave roof, a turned finial knob, and a hexagonal body raised on splayed feet. The entire piece is covered in a richly mottled green glaze -- pooling deeper in recesses and lifting to a paler sage on raised surfaces -- giving the stoneware an organic, wabi-sabi quality rarely achieved in mass production. Each face of the body carries pierced apertures in varying motifs: a sakura blossom, momiji (maple leaf) forms, a crescent moon, and a grid of square windows, so that when the internal bulb is lit, the cut-outs project glowing silhouettes onto surrounding walls.
