This custom vanity chest is presented in a Japanese tansu style, adapted for bathroom or dressing-area use. The front includes a wide upper drawer and a lower cabinet with double doors, offering enclosed storage beneath a countertop. The slatted door fronts and simple hardware give the piece a Japanese-style furniture character while keeping the overall form practical for everyday vanity use.

In Japanese furniture terminology, tansu is a broad term often used for cabinetry and storage chests. Here, that influence is expressed through the straightforward case form, visible panel layout, and dark pull hardware.
