Vintage Japanese Ikebana / Decorative Vase (SKU 25D-332-2)
Minimalist Showa-era stoneware flower vase
This quietly striking Japanese vase embodies the refined simplicity of mid to late 20th-century studio pottery. Formed in a soft ovoid silhouette with a gently tilted mouth, it is finished in a subdued, speckled olive-brown glaze that recalls unglazed bizenyaki and other rustic stonewares, inviting close appreciation of its texture and firing nuances.
Three small impressed sakura-style medallions punctuate the surface, adding a discreet decorative rhythm while maintaining the vessel’s modern, sculptural presence. This piece is ideal for ikebana or as a standalone objet in a contemporary or wabi-sabi interior.
