Showa-era wooden Shinto shrine tablet with hand-brushed calligraphy

This vintage Japanese Shinto shrine piece is a tall, slender wooden tablet crowned with a simple gabled roof, echoing the architecture of a miniature kamidana. The front face bears bold, vertically brushed kanji dedicating the piece to a kami, transforming the wood into a devotional object once used for prayer and protection.

Likely displayed within a household or small local shrine during the 1960s Showa era, this shrine tablet now serves as an evocative accent for a tokonoma, alcove, or curated wabi-sabi interior.
