Vintage Japanese Shinto Shrine (SKU 25D-314-1)
Showa-era wooden kamidana with curved roof and gilt crest fittings
This vintage Japanese Shinto shrine, or kamidana, is crafted in warm-toned softwood with a gracefully arched roof and raised front veranda. The triple-door sanctuary is accented with gilt metal crests and decorative plaques, evoking the dignified presence of a small jinja within the home.
Shaped side panels, balustrades with cloud-form cutouts, and corner posts capped in dark metal lend architectural depth and traditional character. The sliding central doors open to reveal a simple inner chamber, ideal for housing a household deity or for use as a contemplative display in a Japanese-inspired interior.
