The white ground is set with expressive cobalt-blue characters and a vessel-shaped outline at left containing the vertical phrase "o-cha wa," while the red text across the top reads "hinshitsu hon-i" -- "quality first." The larger blue characters at center and right likely identify the merchant, product, or shop name.
