Large Ovoid Blue Vase with Grape Vine Design, with Original Wooden Box

A striking example of mid-century Japanese porcelain, this large ovoid vase was crafted by the renowned Fukagawa kiln in the 1950s. Decorated in rich cobalt blue underglaze, the surface features a flowing grape vine motif—symbolizing abundance and vitality—rendered with elegant brushwork and subtle tonal variation. The vase’s generous form and refined decoration showcase the Fukagawa tradition of combining graceful form with painterly detail.

Includes its original kiribako (wooden storage box) for safekeeping.
