This is an antique Japanese 2 section stacking kimono chest called Kasane Isho Tansu.
It was made using 100% Paulownia (Kirinoki) wood
All iron fittings are hand made and have amazing handles and large rounded lockplates in the middle.
Originally used for the storage of kimono in Japan, this chest would make a great clothes dresser or an elegant storage unit in any home decor.
