Description

This is an antique Japanese 2 section kimono chest called Kasane Tansu from Taisho period (1910's-1920's).  It was constructed out of Paulownia (Kirinoki) and the iron fittings were all hand made.

Originally used for the storage of kimono in Japan, this chest would make a great clothes dresser or an elegant storage unit in any home decor.
