This is a 2 section antique Japanese Kasane Kimono Isho tansu, stacking clothing chest from Middle Meiji period ( 1880's - 1890's).

Constructed entirely out of Paulownia (Kirinoki) wood, it features original handsome iron fittings as well as versatile side handles for ease of moving about.  

Used separately or stacked, this set will complement any home decor.
