Vintage Japanese Flower Vase, 1980s, Showa Era (SKU 25D-332-2-1)
Elegant Showa-era porcelain flower vase with original signed tomobako
This refined vintage Japanese vase is crafted in a classic kinuta-style silhouette, with a rounded body rising to a tall, slender neck. Finished in a soft, nearly white glaze that subtly reveals the warm tone of the clay at the foot, it embodies the understated beauty prized in modern Japanese ceramics and suits both traditional tokonoma display and contemporary interiors.
The underside bears an impressed potter’s seal, and the piece is housed in its original wooden tomobako storage box, brush-inscribed and stamped by the artist. Ideal as a single-stem ikebana vase or as a serene sculptural object, this 1980s Showa-era work offers a quiet, minimalist presence that harmonizes effortlessly with other Japanese pottery and décor.
