This vintage Japanese vase presents a classic rounded silhouette with a short, slightly flared neck, finished in a striking drip-glaze that flows from celadon green and warm ivory into a deep, glossy black. The hand-applied glaze, with its organic runs and subtle crazing to the upper body, evokes the spontaneity prized in mingei (folk craft) ceramics of the mid–Showa period.

Ideal as a single statement piece or as part of a grouped tokonoma or sideboard display, the vase’s earthy clay body and rich, high-contrast palette pair beautifully with both contemporary and traditional interiors.
