This vintage Japanese tabako-bon is a compact personal smoking set designed to keep smoking implements neatly gathered in one portable stand. The main body is crafted in a beautifully grained wood with a warm brown finish, and features a tall rectangular swing-style handle rising above the open-top box. Inside sits a removable pale green ribbed ceramic vessel, consistent with an ash receiver or small waste pot, alongside a cylindrical bamboo container for tobacco or smoking accessories. A slim drawer with a small turned pull is built into the lower front, providing storage for smaller items such as matches, papers, or pipe tools.
