Chinese Kakejiku Calligraphy Scroll | Hanging Wall Art & Zen Home Decor SKU 0509-13
A traditional Chinese calligraphy scroll featuring the famous Tang dynasty poem Fengqiao Yebo (枫桥夜泊, “Mooring at Maple Bridge at Night”) by Zhang Ji. Written in expressive flowing brushwork, the scroll captures the poetic atmosphere of moonlit river scenes, distant temple bells, and quiet autumn solitude that made the poem one of the most celebrated works in classical Chinese literature.
Mounted in deep blue patterned brocade with lacquered roller ends, the piece combines elegant calligraphy with a refined literati aesthetic. A timeless decorative accent for studies, tea rooms, entryways, or Japandi and wabi-sabi inspired interiors.
In a modern home, this kakejiku makes a stunning focal point for living room decor, a home office, or a meditation space -- particularly in interiors inspired by Japandi style or wabi-sabi aesthetic. Hang it in an entryway for an immediate statement of refined taste, or display it unrolled and framed behind glass for a more permanent gallery-style presentation. Its monochrome ink palette and aged warmth integrate naturally into minimalist decor schemes and mid-century modern interiors. A deeply considered gift for collectors of East Asian art, a unique housewarming gift, or a meaningful addition to any curated Japanese antique collection.
