Description

This is a vintage Japanese 2 section Kimono Tansu called Isho Biraki Kimono Tansu from Taisho Period (1920's-1940's). It was made using solid 100% Paulownia (Kirinoki) wood.

Both sections have two large size drawers, each with two handles and a circular design in the center.

The trays are traditionally used to store properly folded Kimono, these trays are ideal for storing sweaters, shirts, blouses and linens in today's contemporary home.

Separating the sections allows for placement in different rooms which adds to the versatility of these chests.
