Vintage Japanese Koroyuu Incense Burner 香炉釉 (SKU 25D-476-1)
Showa-era crackle-glazed koro with original signed kiri-wood tomobako
This compact Japanese incense burner presents a warm ivory glaze with a fine, all-over kannyu (crackle) pattern that catches the light beautifully. Its simple cylindrical form is understated yet refined, designed to harmonize quietly with a traditional tokonoma alcove or a modern interior.
Accompanied by its original signed kiribako (paulownia storage box) and maker’s paper insert, this Showa-era piece reflects the Kyoto studio’s commitment to classical forms and tea-ceremony sensibilities. Ideal as a vintage Japanese incense burner for soradaki (fragrant room incense) or as a small object of contemplation on a desk or shelf.
