This vintage Japanese choshi sake pot is crafted in wood and finished in a striking two-tone lacquer scheme, with a deep black exterior body set against red lacquer at the rim, base, lid, and interior. The form features a fixed overhead handle attached at both sides with carved, flower-like bracket mounts and dark circular pivot details. A projecting spout, broad cylindrical body, and removable fitted lid with rounded knob complete the silhouette. The generous scale and dramatic contrast give the piece a strong decorative presence while retaining the traditional serving form associated with sake ware.
