Vintage Japanese Panels Screen Divider (SKU 25D-285)

Light-toned bamboo and wood room divider with elegant openwork details

This vintage Japanese four-panel screen divider combines the airy warmth of sudare-style bamboo slats with a softly contoured wooden frame. The upper rail features a simple geometric transom reminiscent of ranma, allowing light to filter through while maintaining a calm sense of enclosure, ideal for defining zones in a tatami room, studio, or modern interior.

Each panel is strung with fine vertical reeds, banded with pale horizontal cords that create a subtle rhythm across the surface. At the base, carved floral or grass motifs add a refined decorative touch, echoing traditional Japanese design. Sturdy metal hinges join the four folding panels, so the screen can stand freely in gentle curves or fold compactly for storage.
