A chawan is the central vessel of the Japanese tea ceremony, cradled in both hands while drinking whisked matcha. This handcrafted example features a rounded form with a short foot ring, a softly everted rim, and a smooth light cream interior. The exterior is finished in a coral-toned glaze with an all-over crackled appearance, accented by hand-painted green pine branches and small star motifs.
