This is an authentic modern Japanese Andon called Ouchi Andon which means lantern with legs (ususally 3 legs).

This lantern is usually displayed during Obon season next to Buddhist altar. Legs can be assemble and it is easy to store it.

Lanterns are decorated with nice paintings and the top and bottom parts come apart. It will be a great accet home decor.
