This is an authentic Japanese Kazari Sensu (Ogi), folding fan used to display on the wall from late 1900's.
A Japanese dancing fan, also known as an "uchiwa," is a traditional handheld fan that is commonly used in various forms of Japanese dance, including kabuki, noh, and folk dances. The fan is made of paper or silk stretched over bamboo ribs and can be opened and closed with a flick of the wrist. Japanese dancing fans are often intricately decorated with traditional motifs, such as cherry blossoms, dragons, or other cultural symbols, and are an important part of Japanese cultural heritage. They are both practical and aesthetic, used both to create a beautiful visual effect and to cool the dancer as they move gracefully across the stage.
