This antique Japanese ko tansu embodies the clean, practical elegance of early 20th-century cabinetry. The upper section features a pair of hikido sliding doors with framed panels and round iron hikite pulls, opening to a versatile storage compartment. Below, an orderly arrangement of small and full-width drawers provides a thoughtful mix of spaces ideal for textiles, documents, or everyday essentials.

Crafted in warm-toned hardwood with a straight grain and fitted with understated iron hardware, this small chest retains its original side carry handles and a working lock with key on one drawer.
