Vintage Japanese Bronze Vase
Red Splash Patina | Shōwa Era
Japanese cast bronze vase of classic rounded form with a short, slightly raised lip. The surface displays a rich red and dark brown mottled patina, creating a natural, organic “splash” effect across the body.
The patination blends deep oxblood tones with subtle blackened areas and faint verdigris highlights, giving depth and movement under light. The restrained form emphasizes surface treatment, consistent with mid-20th-century Japanese studio bronze aesthetics.
A refined decorative piece suitable for ikebana or standalone display, offering strong presence with understated elegance.
- Dimensions: 6" Diameter x 6"H
- Condition: Very good vintage condition with age-appropriate patina and surface wear
A characterful early 20th-century Japanese vase that brings authentic Showa warmth and wabi-sabi presence to any space.
We use professional studio lighting to highlight the natural character of the wood. As a result, the tone may appear slightly warmer than under natural daylight.
All vintage and antique items are sold as-is. Each piece may exhibit signs of age, including scratches, wear, or minor imperfections. These are not considered defects but natural evidence of the item’s authenticity and age.
