Vintage Japanese Mizusashi Water Pot (SKU 25D-180-3)
Heisei-era mizusashi with richly mottled glaze and lacquered lid
This vintage Japanese water pot, or mizusashi, presents a softly rounded form cloaked in a complex, mottled glaze of earthy browns, creams and mossy greens. The high-gloss surface catches the light beautifully, evoking the texture of lichen on stone and giving the piece a warm, organic presence ideal for the tearoom or a curated interior display.
Topped with a sleek black lacquered lid with ring handle, the pot balances rustic kiln effects with refined Heisei-era sensibility. Accompanied by its fitted wooden tomobako storage box and original inscription slip, it is well suited for use in Japanese tea ceremony or as an elegant vessel for fresh water, seasonal branches, or contemplative display.
