Vintage Japanese Small Drawer, Showa Era (SKU 25D-050)
Showa-era three-drawer ko-bako with warm two-tone wood and simple metal pulls
This compact vintage chest captures the understated modernism of mid–Showa Japan. The dark-stained carcass contrasts beautifully with the lighter drawer fronts, whose vertical grain and central plank detail create a quiet rhythm across the façade, finished with gently curved metal handles.
Ideal as a desktop tansu or ko-bako for stationery, tea utensils, or small accessories, it brings a touch of Japanese wabi-sabi to contemporary interiors. The softly rounded front edges and honest signs of age give the piece a tactile warmth that only decades of careful use can produce.
