Vintage Japanese Small Drawer, Taisho Era (SKU 25D-086-2)
A compact three-drawer ko-bako crafted from solid sugi (Japanese cedar), dating to the Taishō period (c. 1912–1926). The drawers are slightly recessed within the front frame, a subtle construction detail that adds depth and a restrained architectural presence. Original iron ring pulls, visible hand-tool marks, and a warm, time-softened patina reflect honest everyday use.
Traditionally used for personal storage, documents, or valuables, this piece works well today as a bedside cabinet, desktop organizer, or accent storage. Clean, understated, and proportionally balanced—an authentic example of early 20th-century Japanese utility furniture.
