Vintage Japanese Small Drawer, Showa Era (SKU 25D-283)
Low tansu-style chest with richly figured hardwood grain and iron teardrop pulls
This compact Japanese chest is crafted in the spirit of a low tansu, its elongated top and six practical drawers making it ideal as a small sideboard, media stand, or entryway piece. The front and top showcase beautifully rippled hardwood grain, finished in a warm, deep brown that highlights the natural movement of the wood.
Simple lines, a slightly overhanging top, and understated bracket feet give the piece a quiet Showa-era presence, while the small forged-iron teardrop pulls add a subtle decorative note. The interiors of the drawers are clean and light, offering organized storage that blends traditional Japanese character with everyday functionality.
