Description

This is vintage Japanese Ranma, transom from Taisho period (1910's-1920's). It is made of Cypress (Hinoki) wood.

Transoms are used for ventilation and lighting above sliding doors between Nihon-ma, Japanese room. 

Bcause of simple lattic design, nicely framed in black, this can be displayed from any angles and easy to blend in any home decor.
