A vintage Japanese Noh Dancer Doll is a traditional doll that represents Shinjya Daisho from the the story of Dai Hannya, original is Dai Hannya Kyo played in Noh. He wears a mask called Shinjya, not Hannya since there are no horns and wear headwear called Dairyutai which represents dragon.

This is the story when Sanzo Hoshi approaches the Ryusha River, an old man appears and asks him why he is crossing the river. The old man reveals that he is the Great King Fukasa. The old man reveals that he is the Great King Shinsha, and gives him the Heart Sutra, promising that if he spreads the sutra to the four directions, I will become the guardian deity of the sutra and help him. The figurine is from this scene when he promises and dances.
