Showa-era standing mirror with carved peony and hammered-style lacquer base

This tall vintage Japanese mirror stands in a sculptural wooden frame, finished in a deep reddish-brown lacquer that recalls traditional tsugaru-nuri and other hammered-style surfaces. The lower panel is richly carved with a bold peony motif, a classic symbol of prosperity and elegance in Japanese design, giving the piece a refined yet understated presence.
