Showa-era standing mirror with carved peony and mountain motif

This elegant vintage tachi-kagami (free-standing dressing mirror) combines the clean vertical lines of mid-Showa design with richly textured hand-carved woodwork. The dark stained frame rises from a solid footed base, giving the tall rectangular mirror a poised, architectural presence ideal for a bedroom, entryway, or dressing area.

At the base, a deep relief carving depicts a bold peony blossom set against stylized mountains, framed by a subtle nunome-style hammered texture that catches the light across the surface.
