This vintage Japanese mirror combines the clean vertical lines of mid-Showa design with the warmth of traditional lacquerwork. A tall rectangular glass plate rises from a compact storage base, recalling the slim silhouette of a modernist kyou-dai (dressing mirror) while remaining practical for everyday use in a bedroom, entryway, or boutique setting.

The base is finished in a deep, almost black red-brown lacquer, patterned with a repeating hexagonal motif and accented by a bold carved peony on the lower drawer front.
