This is a vintage Japanese Kimono Isho Tansu, 3 section clothing chest from the Taisho period ( 1910's - 1920's) . This piece is made of only Paulownia (Kirinoki).
Traditionally all clothing were folded and placed in drawers before the influence of the west.
This chest comes in different size of compartments and works wonderfully for to store your clothing or bedding, also it can add charm and functionality to any area of the house.
