Description

This is a vintage Japanese 2 section stacking clothing chest called Kimono Biraki Tansu from Taisho period (1910's-1920's). The hinged doors on the center section nice Kimono/Obi trays that slide out and 2 deep drawers on the bottom.  It was entirely constructed in thick Paulownia wood (Japanese Kirinoki).  

This tansu comes in shorter size so you will find a nice spot easily for your home.
