Vintage Japanese Kimono Rack, Showa Era (SKU 25D-138)
Two-tier Showa-era kimono stand with removable trays and rich wood grain.
This vintage Japanese kimono rack, or ikou, features a refined two-tier design with deep, removable trays that rest neatly within a slender wooden frame. The dark, warm finish highlights a striking wood grain, giving the piece a quiet presence that pairs beautifully with both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Originally used for folding and staging kimono or obi in a dressing room or washitsu, it now serves equally well as a side table, display stand, or compact storage for textiles and accessories. Gently splayed legs with subtle bracket details add a touch of classic Showa-era character while keeping the overall silhouette clean and minimal.
