Description

This is a vintage Japanese 3 section stacking Japanese chest called Isho Tansu from Taisho period (1920's-1940's). The top section has a large compartment and sliding doors and the middle and bottom sections have 3 drawers each.

It was entirely constructed in Paulownia wood (Japanese Kirinoki). 

Originally used to store Japanese Kimono, it would work well in today's home as a clothes dresser for daily use.
