Vintage Japanese Kannon Statue, Heisei Era (SKU 25D-145)

Graceful Heisei-era porcelain Kannon with soft pastels and gilt highlights

This vintage Japanese Kannon statue presents the Bodhisattva of Compassion standing in quiet elegance, robed in flowing white garments edged with celadon green and sky-blue hems. Delicate raised enamel patterns (mori-e) and pastel floral motifs accent the kimono-like robes, while finely painted facial features and a small urna at the brow convey a serene, meditative presence.

Luxurious gold detailing picks out the hood, necklace, and stylized staff, lending a luminous contrast to the cool glaze and enhancing the statue’s altar-ready appearance. Ideal as a butsudan companion piece or as a refined decorative accent, this Heisei-era Kannon brings a sense of calm and protection to any interior.

As part of our mission to preserve and share Japanese craftsmanship, we offer antiques that were made not just to be admired, but to be used. These pieces were crafted for everyday life, and we honor their purpose by ensuring they can continue to be enjoyed and lived with today.

We use professional studio lighting to highlight the natural character of the wood. As a result, the tone may appear slightly warmer than under natural daylight.

All vintage and antique items are sold as-is. Each piece may exhibit signs of age, including scratches, wear, or minor imperfections. These are not considered defects but natural evidence of the item’s authenticity and age.
