Graceful Heisei-era porcelain Kannon with soft pastels and gilt highlights

This vintage Japanese Kannon statue presents the Bodhisattva of Compassion standing in quiet elegance, robed in flowing white garments edged with celadon green and sky-blue hems. Delicate raised enamel patterns (mori-e) and pastel floral motifs accent the kimono-like robes, while finely painted facial features and a small urna at the brow convey a serene, meditative presence.

Luxurious gold detailing picks out the hood, necklace, and stylized staff, lending a luminous contrast to the cool glaze and enhancing the statue’s altar-ready appearance.
