Teal-glazed ceramic hibachi with hand-carved floral motif and vertical linework
This vintage Japanese hibachi features a striking cylindrical form finished in a deep teal glaze, accented by hand-incised white sen (vertical lines) that wrap elegantly around the body. A central panel showcases a stylised floral spray picked out in warm amber tones, giving the piece a refined yet inviting presence that suits both traditional and modern interiors.
Originally used as a compact charcoal brazier, this ceramic hibachi now makes a beautiful decorative accent or vessel for displaying branches, utensils, or as a cachepot. The glossy exterior contrasts with the softly dripped inner glaze, highlighting the craftsmanship typical of late 20th–early 21st century Japanese studio work from the Heisei era.
A versatile Heisei-era hibachi that brings a quiet, authentic touch of Japanese design to any space.
We use professional studio lighting to highlight the natural character of the wood. As a result, the tone may appear slightly warmer than under natural daylight.
All vintage and antique items are sold as-is. Each piece may exhibit signs of age, including scratches, wear, or minor imperfections. These are not considered defects but natural evidence of the item’s authenticity and age.
