Description

This is an antique 2 sesction Japanese glass display chest from the late Meiji period (1890's-1910's). It is made of Japanese Cypress (Hinoki) and Cryptomeria (Suginoki).  

It would have been used to showcase various merchant wares in a store or business.  

Top section has sliding doors and 2 sheves which is ideal to display various items.  Lower section has 1 shelf and 2 drawers which can store and organize many pieces.
