This is an authentic Japanese Piggy bank shaped in Maneki Neko known as a Beckoning Cat from mid. 1900's.

This black cat, not typical white cat is known as a Mayoke cat, a charm against evil sprit, also it has a good luck, specially in Kyoto, it is beleived as a prosperous business.

The cat is holding a Senryo, an old form of currency from the Edo era that was worth quite a bit of money. Around the neck, it has a bell.

The cat with the lefft paw raised is expressly for welcoming business and customers.

It would make a wonderful good luck mascot for any business or cat lover.
