This is an authentic Japanese Piggy bank shaped in Maneki Neko known as a Beckoning Cat from late 1900's.
It is from Tokoname kiln so it has large rounded eyes and head, carries coins.
The cat is holding a Senryo, an old form of currency from the Edo era that was worth quite a bit of money. Around the neck, originally, it was a bell but these days, it changed to an coin with a writing "Fuku" which is luck.
The cat with the lefft paw raised is expressly for welcoming business and customers.
It has a writing " To Senba" so it is a gift probably when Senba opened the store. It would make a wonderful good luck mascot for any business or cat lover.
