This is an authentic antique Japanese Tsutsumi storage Jar/ pot called Tsubo from Late Meiji period (1890's-1910's).
Tsutsumi ware is made in Sendai from Miyagi prefecture, centered around simple everyday utensils such as dishes, pots, sake cups, sake bottles and tea cups.
It has a simple yet strong flavor.
