Antique Japanese Small Drawer (SKU 25D-158-1)
Compact Taishō-era tansu drawer with warm aged patina
This petite antique Japanese drawer once formed part of a larger tansu chest, and now stands alone as a characterful storage piece. The rich, reddish-brown finish has mellowed over time, revealing a fine straight grain and subtle wear that speaks to decades of daily use.
Traditional joinery is visible at the corner, with small plugged nail holes and honest surface marks that add to its wabi-sabi charm. Ideal for presenting incense, tea utensils, or stationery, it also works beautifully as a display riser or as an insert within a contemporary shelving system.
