This antique Japanese sewing box, or haribako, is crafted in warm-toned hardwood with a rich grain and rounded top edges that soften its rectilinear form. The front presents an elegant, asymmetrical arrangement of drawers, each fitted with simple metal pulls that speak to mid 20th-century Japanese design sensibilities—functional, modest, and quietly refined.

The hinged top opens to reveal a shallow compartment with wooden dividers for thread, needles, and small tools, while four front drawers of varying depth offer ample storage for sewing notions or jewelry.
