Early Showa-era nokogiri blade with sculptural presence and rich aged patina.

This substantial antique Japanese saw iron features a boldly curved silhouette, wide blade and powerful, triangular teeth typical of traditional timber-working nokogiri. The surface has developed a deep, even rust patina over decades of use and storage, giving the piece a warm, earthy tone that reads as both industrial and wabi-sabi in a modern interior.

Retaining its simple wooden handle, the tool can be displayed leaning against a wall, hung as a graphic accent, or incorporated into a workshop or store vignette celebrating Japanese carpentry.
