Antique Japanese Sugatami Mirror (SKU 25D-235)
Elegant Showa-era sugatami-standing mirror with rich dark wood grain and tilting frame
This antique Japanese standing mirror, or okimono kagami, features a tall rectangular glass set within a beautifully grained dark solid wood frame. The simple, architectural lines and gently rounded edges reflect the refined modernism of late 20th-century Japan, making it an easy piece to blend into both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Supported by a sturdy trestle base with subtly curved feet, the mirror tilts within its side supports, allowing for comfortable adjustment when dressing. The lower panel showcases the dramatic wood grain, adding warmth and visual interest while grounding the slender proportions of the piece.
